Wise Saying

Ten thousand flowers in the spring, the moon in autumn,a cool breeze in summer, snow in winter. If your mind isn’t clouded by unnecessary things, this is the best season of your life.

Violence Of Exclusion

Read an article related to the recent spate of activities in Bombay rather Mumbai, trying to kill its flavour of being Mumbai : http://www.outlookindia.com/article.aspx?264137.Our so called Pluralistic,Secular and yeah the World's Largest Democracy is suffering and is getting threatened. Is it?Yes..The famed cosmopolitan character of Mumbai, a mix of pluralistic, diverse, accommodative and inclusive strands is undergoing test and is supposed to answer the dilemmas undergone by none other than Aam Admi . And we aam admi is seeking answer to this question: Who am i? An Indian first or a marathi/punjabi/bengali/naga/tamilian first? What is my identity?

No doubt states are being carved out based on linguistic principle but the borders and contours being created holds no value for us who just don't care and don't give a damn to these lines..I think it would be wrong to say that a state have only one language.I believe its the only country where language changes within a range of few kilometres. We have so many differences that it is very easy to rip apart everything and strange but true, we are glued together inspite of all differences. We are like different branches of the same tree.Directions may be different but our core is the same....Needless to say, we are just one.

I am assamese..I belong to the lush green, beautiful state of Assam..but i am an Indian first and then Assamese and not the other way round. But the developments in the recent past in maharashtra by the shiv seniks is humungously disgusting and painful. They have not spared anyone :taxi drivers, actors, young genre politicians. It pretty much can be attributed as 'Violence Of Exclusion'.If we ride on a taxi, what we are concerned about? To reach the destination safely and timely right?Do we care if he knows marathi or be it any other local language of the place?
No we don't ...we don't care at all.

After witnessing the ongoing episodes one thing is pretty clear: we dont give those dirty and fickle minded politicians whose only motive is to lure votes by any means and win election, a damn! Twitter, facebook, blogs and not to mention the live debates and discussions on television are the best proofs. And i hope senas should have learned leason by now after loosing support of marathi manoos(clear reflection of the recent election mandate) and the nation as a whole .Last but not the least even their old friends who seems to have shared similar ideologies too have abandoned. But I don't pity you...
