Wise Saying

Ten thousand flowers in the spring, the moon in autumn,a cool breeze in summer, snow in winter. If your mind isn’t clouded by unnecessary things, this is the best season of your life.

IIML:Induction Day 3

I am tired and tired, actually super tired...Nothing new today but yeah going to be end of formal induction session..About the informal part, well have patience, time will tell.
Got some topic in the evening and had to give presentation on that..We worked submitted and reached the venue...Got to know there that few of the ppts content have been changed and were screwed.Ours also got screwed in spite of the content not being changed. So no choice see......Assignments,presentations,deadlines have started becoming part of life....And sleep getting away.Very sad indeed.....

IIML:Induction Day 2

Day began the same time as yesterday but yeah with one correction that day isn't going to be over soon.Went for the session (not with same freshness..what can you expect from a sleep deprived person).Sessions were pretty good. One was based on communication and then had pretty much exposure to case based study.Morning, afternoon, semi evening got over. The other part of the evening begins...
Part II begins wherein we were divided into groups and performed skits..Got some topic from Mahabharata ...We tried to be funny but were screwed ultimately...
Just praying that all these get over pretty pretty soon.....
I am off to sleep...zzzzzzzzzz

IIML:Induction Day1

Today we were officially welcomed by the IIM family.Day began very early.Yeah it was indeed very difficult to get up but thinking that its just till 6 or so in the evening(which proved to be wrong) happily got up.
To begin with, we were welcomed by Chairman PGP which was followed by pledge. Then came one of the best part of the induction module.Got to interact with the IIML alumni head who is JPMC global business head(came from london for this induction module...God this is what makes iim an iim..no doubt about this) and got to know things from an alumni perspective. It was followed by alumni talks and interaction with different departments of the institute. Till 7 pm,I must say it was quite an enriching exprience and then yeah the real induction part begins.
This is how it goes........
9:30 is the deadline wherein we need to be in our respective classrooms.Well not 9:30 it is 9:29:59(got a new definition after coming here).Got dressed up in business formals, formal (polished)shoes.Reached classroom.Till 2 am I guess,we had introduction session only.We were given assignments for which deadline was just couple of hours.I was trying to figure out what is going on actually. We were told that those who won't be attending will be seggregated into different sections and won't be allowed to take part in committees.Well,I just told myself enjoy the show...keep on doing the tasks. And then on way back to hostel got to know we have hostel induction too...uffffffffff how many induction man???this is what i thought..wasn't what had happened till now not enough??? But sometimes we have fewer choices.So...so...so follow what has been told dear......Had introduction session and got assignments there too...Guess what assignments?? Gather information from each hostel the problems which they are facing which should be ten in number...Well yeah no choice.
And the night/day ends/begins....Took around 2-3 hours sleep thinking about upcoming days schedule.Felt part to be of hel(L).

Just Lazying Around

The campus is a calm and beautiful place : dotted by lush green trees, buildings having characteristic window designs,Umang(place for rejuvenation),good hostels, and not to talk of wide range of creatures hereby creating the perfect ecosystem (Already blessed to have an encounter with a snake and a monkey :-)).
With ten days gone by, and not much workload ,it is providing me the perfect ambience to just laze around.I am writing here from the library surrounded by the red brick walls, huge volume of books stacked in innumerable cupboards so full of gyaan, muffled sound of the laptops, occasional footsteps of students: I am feeling great to sit here .Apart from that it is bringing respite to the terrible heat outside(thanks to the air conditioners!) ,I would love to spend time here…
But I know this peaceful period is not going to last long, have to fasten the belt within a day or two and set out for a fast pace journey.

All Set for a New Journey

If I look back the past one year I have seen lots of ups and downs. Finally I have landed into IIML. Must say, a dream come true!!!
After working for almost two years,I hope I will be able to appreciate this rigorous course in a much better way.My past time embraces reading, writing, listening to music.I would like to travel far and wide.Hope in this upcoming two years in IIML better known as heLL, I would give my best and push myself to new limits.
I expect myself to be regular in blogging.I would be writing here pretty much on everything that relates me as a B School student.Welcome to the Road!
