Today we were officially welcomed by the IIM family.Day began very early.Yeah it was indeed very difficult to get up but thinking that its just till 6 or so in the evening(which proved to be wrong) happily got up.
To begin with, we were welcomed by Chairman PGP which was followed by pledge. Then came one of the best part of the induction module.Got to interact with the IIML alumni head who is JPMC global business head(came from london for this induction module...God this is what makes iim an iim..no doubt about this) and got to know things from an alumni perspective. It was followed by alumni talks and interaction with different departments of the institute. Till 7 pm,I must say it was quite an enriching exprience and then yeah the real induction part begins.
This is how it goes........
9:30 is the deadline wherein we need to be in our respective classrooms.Well not 9:30 it is 9:29:59(got a new definition after coming here).Got dressed up in business formals, formal (polished)shoes.Reached classroom.Till 2 am I guess,we had introduction session only.We were given assignments for which deadline was just couple of hours.I was trying to figure out what is going on actually. We were told that those who won't be attending will be seggregated into different sections and won't be allowed to take part in committees.Well,I just told myself enjoy the show...keep on doing the tasks. And then on way back to hostel got to know we have hostel induction too...uffffffffff how many induction man???this is what i thought..wasn't what had happened till now not enough??? But sometimes we have fewer choices.So...so...so follow what has been told dear......Had introduction session and got assignments there too...Guess what assignments?? Gather information from each hostel the problems which they are facing which should be ten in number...Well yeah no choice.
And the night/day ends/begins....Took around 2-3 hours sleep thinking about upcoming days schedule.Felt part to be of hel(L).
